“Kingdom: Ashin Of The North”: fire on the film set

A fire broke out on the set of Netflix. “Kingdom: Ashin of the North.”
A castle on the Gaeun Open Set in North Gyeongsang Province burned at 1:42 p.m. KST on Jan. 7. The fire was completely extinguished after an hour.

The fire was caused by a Kingdom official who tried to melt the snow with a flashlight. A source in Kingdom stated, “While the snow was melting, the fire broke out and no one was injured. After a thorough inspection of the set, we resumed filming. In the future we will do everything we can to ensure safety on the set.”

It was shared that the finishing materials on the exterior walls of the castle first caught fire and set the wood inside to burn. Part of the castle was destroyed when the fire was extinguished. Nine fire engines were sent to the set.

“Kingdom: Ashin of the North” is a special bonus story with one episode and an expansion of the second season of “Kingdom”. It will play the main role Jun Ji Hyun as Ashin and Park byung eun as Min Chi Rok. Kingdom: Ashin of the North is said to have started filming last August, and it is confirmed that it will premiere sometime this year.
